Taptapsee is an app made for users who are blind or visually impaired. It uses your camera to determine objects by simply pointing your phone at it. By taking a picture or video either on the app or from your camera roll, it can determine anything ranging from the brand of the object to the color. TapTapSee is available in the apple store and the google play store.
I downloaded the app and tried it out for myself and found it to be pretty accurate. The app was very descriptive and detailed the object at the focus of the video or image. Not only did it describe what the object was but also what it was located on. For instance, I took a picture of a calculator on my table and the description not only included the type of calculator and color but also included how it was at the edge of the table. I think TapTapSee is very easy to work and easily accessible including the fact that it uses the voiceover features on phones.
